How Uhuru and Ruto Ended Up Living Side by Side in Narok Without Visiting Each Other

Former President Uhuru Kenyatta and President William Ruto are living in the same neighborhood in Transmara, Narok County.

Uhuru moved into his private hideaway at Ololmoongi Farm in October 2022, shortly after leaving office.

A year later in 2023, President Ruto permanently relocated from his Sugoi home to Intona Farm in Kilgoris.

Today, the two live in the same ward and same village. Their farms are adjacent to each other.

The setup is different. Ruto converted his 900 acre Intona Farm into a residence and large scale farming enterprise.

Uhuru, on the other hand, runs Ololmoongi as both a private residence and a tourist lodge under Heritage East Africa Safaris.

Ironically, despite being fence mates, the two have never paid each other a visit.

Not even when President Ruto hosted former Prime Minister Raila Odinga at his Kilgoris home. Uhuru was just across the fence.
